( 17.2.2014 )The seminar about the ReStEP project was held last week at the Ministry of Environment of the Czech Republic. Seminar was focused on potential impacts on the environment in terms of definition of the renewable energy sources potential in the Czech Republic.
The seminar was attended by representatives of the Department of General Nature and Landscape Protection who were closely informed about the ReStEP project and its potential application in the context of land use planning as a support tool in the decision making process. One of the main topics was the presentation of the data layer focusing on biodiversity and the resulting limitation for definition of the renewable energy sources potential in the Czech Republic on the basis of national and supranational legislative restrictions. Within the discussion, the issue of data acquisition and processing for the interactive map database was mentioned.
